Brief Information
MTCN stands for Mother Tongue Center Nepal. It started in the year 2001 with translation of booklets into different mother tongues of Nepal on the social issues like, health, awareness and empowerment etc, developed by UMN in Nepali language. In 2002 May, it further worked on the development of the resources for mother tongues in Nepal, which we called Mother Tongue Resource Center (MTRC). From 2005 to 2013 we worked for the story development in different ethnic languages of Nepal based on the real life experience. There have been now 123 titles of the real life stories expressed in the mother tongues.
